Texas A&M College of Engineering Features the Digital Manufacturing and Distribution Lab
Texas A&M College Engineering highlighted the Digital Manufacturing and Distribution Lab (DMD-Lab) at the Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station (TEES), where Prof. Ufodike shared the lab’s mission to rethink how products are designed, manufactured, and distributed. TEES partners with The Virtual Foundry for innovative titanium 3D printing research

Led by Dr. Chukwuzubelu Ufodike, this research is aimed at investigating the effects of sintering temperature and time on Fused Filament Fabrication (FFF) 3D printed titanium alloy parts. Dr. Chukwuzubelu Ufodike said, “This collaboration represents a significant stride in advancing our understanding of sintering processes in 3D printing. Together with The Virtual Foundry and TEES, we aim to push the boundaries of material development in additive manufacturing.”

Chukwuzubelu Ufodike Named Co-Investigator on $1.2M NASA VITAL Research Project

Dr. Chukwuzubelu Ufodike, Assistant Professor in the Industrial Distribution program at Texas A&M University and Director of the Digital Manufacturing and Distribution Lab (DMD-Lab), has been named a co-investigator on the three-year, $1.2 million NASA-supported project “VITAL: Virtual Institute for Temporal and Additive Learning.” The project focuses on coastal ecosystem research using AI-guided, 3D-printed biodegradable sensors, with Prof. Ufodike’s lab contributing to additive manufacturing and materials design.

PVAMU, Texas A&M announce faculty winners of $600,000 joint PRISE research grants for 2023

PRAIRIE VIEW and BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION, Texas (April 11, 2023)­ ­- Prairie View A&M University (PVAMU) and Texas A&M University (Texas A&M) are awarding $600,000 to 15 teams of PVAMU-Texas A&M faculty investigators who belong to the third cohort under the 2023 Panther Research and Innovation for Scholarly Excellence (PRISE) grant program.
